Beacon is a physician-owned and directed company with a proven track record and a commitment to continue to improve our practices and performance.  Dennis Beck, MD, FACEP, Beacon’s founder and CEO, is a nationally recognized expert in emergency medicine reimbursement.  Dr. Beck has held several ACEP leadership positions relating to quality and reimbursement.  

For 24 years, Beacon has been solely focused on serving emergency physician groups.  Beacon is owned by practicing emergency physicians; Beacon is not a publicly traded company, nor is it owned by a private equity firm.   As a result, Beacon has grown at a responsible pace and ensures that existing clients are not affected by the addition of new clients.

Operational Excellence
Beacon’s management team has the proper balance of clinical and operational leadership.   In addition to Dennis Beck, MD, FACEP, Beacon is led by Bob Reece.  As Beacon’s COO, Bob leverages his 20 years of expertise in banking operations and electronic transaction processing to implement cross-industry best practices at Beacon.   The rest of Beacon’s management team has held key management positions with hospitals, health insurers and large group practices.

Beacon’s clients’ Emergency Departments range in size from 13,000 to almost 100,000 annual visits.  Since we process a high volume of annual patient visits, we have made the right level of investments in management, training, systems, processes and quality and compliance programs.  Yet, our manageable size enables our entire management team to have close business relationships with each of our clients and be personally committed to their success.  As a result, Beacon has never lost a client.
