Optimal Coding

Beacon’s coders are certified by the American Association of Professional Coders, participate in our rigorous coding training program, and are audited on a quarterly basis.  Beacon’s approach to maximizing revenue per patient begins with physician documentation training. 

At the start of a new contract, and periodically as needed, Dr. Beck provides documentation training for all members of the group. Physicians are also given a copy of the Beacon Documentation Guide, a concise reference manual designed to supplement these sessions. Beacon provides ongoing physician education through documentation deficiency reports and periodic updates regarding CPT and/or CMS changes.

To help achieve optimal documentation and coding, Beacon assists its clients with evaluating charting options and identifying the most appropriate alternative.
